Share context
Invite team members to your organisation. Once they join, they can access all Published context through MCP-compatible tools. This page explains how to invite team members, seat types and permissions, and how sharing works.
How to invite team members
Section titled “How to invite team members”All team members can invite others. The seat type you can assign depends on your subscription plan and permissions.

Sharein the top-right header - Enter the email address
- Select the seat type: editor or read-only
- Select
Invite
An email invitation is sent to the new team member. They sign up with their GitHub or Google account and claim the invite. They immediately have access to all Published context through MCP-compatible tools.
If you can’t select an editor seat, your organisation has no available paid seats. Only users with organisation owner seats can add seats through billing management on the Team management page.
Understanding seat types and permissions
Section titled “Understanding seat types and permissions”Editor seats require an available paid seat in your subscription. Here are the permissions for each seat type:

Organisation owner (1 Paid Seat)
- Organisation owners manage billing, subscriptions, and seat types on the Team management page
- Has all editor seat permissions

Editor (Paid Seat)
- Users with editor seats create, edit, and publish Instructions and Knowledge
- Can invite users with read-only seats only
- Cannot manage billing or seat types

Read-only (Free Seat)
- Users with read-only seats can browse Published context in the Sokket web app and use it in MCP-compatible tools
- Can invite other users with read-only seats
- Cannot create, edit, or publish context, and cannot see Drafts
