Invite team members to your organisation. Once they join, they can access all Published context through MCP-compatible tools.

How to invite team members

All team members can invite others. The seat type you can assign depends on your subscription plan and permissions.

1. Select Share in the top-right header
2. Enter the email address
3. Select the seat type: Contributor or Consumer
4. Select Invite

An email invitation is sent to the new team member. They sign up with their GitHub account and claim the invite. They immediately have access to all Published context through MCP-compatible tools.

If you can’t select a Contributor seat, your organisation has no available paid seats. Only Owners can add seats through billing management on the Team management page.

Understanding seat types and permissions

Contributor seats require an available paid seat in your subscription. Here are the permissions for each seat type:

• Owner (1 Paid Seat)

  • Manages billing, subscriptions, and seat types on the Team management page
  • Has all Contributor permissions

• Contributor (Paid Seat)

  • Creates, edits, and publishes Instructions and Knowledge
  • Can invite Consumers only
  • Cannot manage billing or seat types

• Consumer (Free Seat)

  • Can browse Published context in the Sokket web app and use it in MCP-compatible tools
  • Can invite other Consumers
  • Cannot create, edit, or publish context, and cannot see Drafts
